IT Intern - MIE Grand Rapids

Morrison Industrial Equipment is looking for an IT Intern in our Grand Rapids location. We are looking for a skilled Information Technology Intern to assist with the setup and maintenance of Morrison’s user-facing computers and to provide front-line helpdesk support. This position requires strong technical and problem-solving skills, as well as a focus on customer service. Requirements for this position include a valid, good standing driver’s license and a pre-employment drug screen, physical exam, and a background check. This team member works a flexible schedule within the confines of Monday-Friday, first shift hours.

Our IT Interns Typically:

• Are currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Have strong technical and problem-solving skills
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
• Adapt easily to a fast-paced environment
• Have commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
• Possess knowledge of Microsoft Office, basic Windows operations, and networking
• Exhibit the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently provide new tablets and laptops for Service Technicians
• Conduct regular software installations and updates to maintain a secure and efficient computing environment
• Provide prompt and effective end-user support for Microsoft Office, basic Windows operations, printing, networking, and related technologies
• Contribute to and actively participate in various strategic projects based on organizational needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency in IT processes
