Machine Assembly Technician - Innovation for Automation

Innovation for Automation is seeking a skilled Machine Assembly Technician to join our team located at 701 36^th St. SE Grand Rapids, MI 49548. They would assist in the assembly of automated machinery for our manufacturing clients. The Machine Assembly Technician will work alongside a team of engineers and technicians to assemble, install, and test machinery to ensure it meets our clients' requirements.

Our Machine Assembly Technicians Typically:

• Assemble and install automated machinery according to engineering drawings and specifications
• Ensure that machinery is installed safely and securely, adhering to all relevant safety standards and protocols
• Test and troubleshoot machinery to identify and resolve any issues before delivery to clients.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to optimize machinery performance and efficiency
• Keep detailed records of all work performed and ensure all documentation is up to date
• Communicate effectively with management to provide updates on progress and ensure client satisfaction
• Assist with other tasks as required

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in machine assembly or a related field.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

This position requires a pre-employment drug-screening, and a background check. With first shift hours, Monday – Friday. No weekends. With pay ranging from $16-$25 /hour based on experience.
