Management Trainee - MIE Mason

Morrison Industrial Equipment is currently looking for a Management Trainee to assist with our Service and Parts Department at our Mason, MI location at 575 Jewett Rd, Mason, MI 48854. We are a well-established Material Handling Equipment company with 12 locations throughout Michigan and Northern Indiana. Employees must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and driving record check.
This position is M-F, first-shift, hourly and paid weekly. This is an entry level position. Those with 1-3 years of working experience in a mechanical setting are encouraged to apply. Compensation negotiated based on experience

General Responsibilities:
The Management Trainee cycles through our different departments – Parts and Service once they have an understanding they are put on path to be an Assistant Manager in either department.
While in Parts Dept
- Identify parts requested and provide pricing from Technicians and Customers
- Assist others when MIE Receives parts from vendor shipments arriving from UPS, FED EX, and common mail truck carriers
- Understanding workflow with the Ability to Think Ahead
- Looking up and Ordering Parts
- Helping with Customer Quotes
- Respond to Customers and Technicians’ phone calls and Emails
- Vendor Communication
- Looking up parts (reading parts manuals and break downs)
While in Service Dept
- Open Service Work Orders
- Dispatching Technicians on Customer Service Requests
- Monitoring Open Work Orders
- Proactively Contacting Customers to Provide Repair Status of Units
- Debriefing with Technicians at the end of each Day
- Repair Estimate Preparation, Presentation, and Processing Once Approved
- Answering phones and Assisting Customers
- Assisting with Rental Inquiries, Quotations, Set-up and Deliveries
